Methylene dichloride (MC) is a colorless transparent liquid at room temperature. It has a stimulating odor similar to ether and has good chemical stability. Because of its similar physical and chemical properties to CFC-11, CFC-113 and HCFC-141b, it can be used as foaming agent for rigid and soft polyurethane foam plastics, or substitute CFC-113 as metal cleaning agent and solder removal agent, solvent in film production, petroleum dewaxing solvent, aerosol propellant, organic synthetic extractant, etc.

Packaging and storage
It is packed in a clean, dry, sealed and leak-free special iron drum with a net weight of 250 kg per barrel. Storage should be at room temperature in a ventilated and dry warehouse to avoid being placed in a humid environment, and the storage temperature should be kept below 25 degrees Celsius, as far as possible to avoid sunshine exposure and away from heat sources.
